As an undergrad student I was took classes at the NYU Game Center, with amazing professors like Katherine Isbister and Eric Zimmerman. Even after I’ve transitioned from student life to the working world, I continue to be a big supporter of their mission. The NYU Game Center aims to fulfill the promise of leading academic institutions – they’re positioned to provide a world class games education, and to become an invaluable resource for the East Coast games community as well.
When I had the first idea for a series that would address game design from the position of an intern-turned-employee, I turned to my Alma Mater as a potential host. They welcomed the series as an opportunity to help out a former student and deliver an “insider view” to aspiring young game developers. The series first ran on the the NYU Game Center website.
